Parade History
On November 25th 2006 the first annual Stamford Harbor Parade of lights was a huge success. Originally organized by Andy Liljequist and Dick Gildersleeve of Stamford, the parade attracted thirty sailboats and powerboats - and a kayak! - it was viewed by more than a thousand spectators. In addition to their impressive light displays, many paraders serenaded onlookers with holiday music - one boat had a live band. Another boat played B.B. King's ''Merry Christmas, Baby,'' while the P.A. system aboard Windpath Fractional Sailing's Catalina rocked the entire harbor.

After the great success of the 2006 parade we are charging into 2007, with new volunteers and corporate sponsors participating, we hope it is even better the inaugural year! We look forward to growing this fun, not-for-profit, community event with many more paraders and onlookers in the future!
